An awesome DofE residential perfect for budding individuals with a passion for helping others and being prepared for anything. it comes with it a recognised level 3 certificate which can help you into work either part time or full time. We take the essentials of a standard classroom course and put it into context using a range of exciting indoor and outdoor practicals. This course teaches all the necessary skills for you to react, respond any First Aid Emergency in the workplace or outside.
Comprehensive First Aid topics are covered through bitesize chunks of small group teaching sessions followed by practical opportunities to try out and learn key techniques. Our expert BOLD First Aid trainer has over 20 years’ experience delivering courses and will ensure that you feel confident with your training.
How will you shape up in an emergency?
These learning exercises culminate in an immersive real-life first aid simulation, where participants follow a route through the local area (using your existing DofE skills) and encounter a range of First Aid Emergency scenarios. You must apply your newly acquired skills to these realistic scenarios for an exciting test of your knowledge and abilities!
On other First Aid courses, many people complain of forgetting their techniques soon after finishing the program, but with our engaging and hands-on scenarios you can expect that these skills will never leave you. Following your completion you will gain our accredited Certificate which you can utilise immediately.

Each of our residentials feature a friendly arrivals, introductions and team building session to help you settle in and get to know the group. At the end of the week, one-to-one evaluations, reflections and summary session allow you to see everything you’ve gained and plan your next adventures.
In addition to meeting the requirements of the DofE Gold Award, our residentials can also qualify you for a John Muir Award by giving you the chance to connect with, enjoy and care for wild places. With many wild places to discover in our immediate vicinity, this award involves spending some time exploring a natural area, contributing to its conservation and sharing your experience through a medium of your choice. This will require some light group work ongoing throughout the week, involving conservation such as community maintenance, a litter pick or some other action which gives back to the local area.
The chance to gain a recognised and credible qualification which potential employers in a work context rely upon will benefit you in numerous ways above and beyond the DofE Award.
