Inspired by the success of modern cookery programmes such as Master Chef and Great British Bake Off, BOLD Adventures are offering our unique take on these culinary experiences. This residential is ideal for those with an interest in food and a passion for cooking who seek to learn new skills and widen their knowledge in the kitchen. Participants each choose a main and a dessert dish of their liking, carefully selected according to personal appreciation. The magic happens when the group get together to share their chosen menu, explaining the thought behind its ingredients, history, inspiration and how they learnt it. The reasons behind each person’s love of their dish are discussed in the group, allowing everyone to develop a real appreciation for new dishes.
Why is your dish special for you? Tell us about your signature dish!
This residential has been hugely popular in the past, with some incredible cooking and exciting new flavours brought to the table. To further enrich the repertoire of all group members, we arrange a cooking masterclass with a selection of local chefs expert in Greek, Asian and South American Food (Guest Chef) cooking. They share their vision and drive for discovering new flavours and ingredients as well as their love of vibrant flavours. As well as teaching new skills, these classes are a brilliant opportunity for inspiration and cooperative growth through sharing ideas.
You will be hosted in a venue on the periphery of the local countryside, a scenic location bordering on the local moorland. Compare your signature dishes and teach others the secrets which make it taste so good… In the evenings the group has the opportunity to socialise, discuss their day and play small games: Cards, draughts etc, etc. There is also an abundance of food too!
Participants are required to bring their own ingredients as needed for their chosen dish. If your ingredients are easily spoiled or best served fresh, we provide a shopping opportunity during the week. You’re welcome to bring along any special utensils you have which you feel will benefit your cooking!
